A long sandy beach right in Valledoria. Thanks to its width, it offers plenty of privacy even during the season. Perfect for long walks and building sandcastles.
Family tip:
The mouth of the Coghinas River forms a shallow lagoon with warmer water, functioning as a huge natural children’s pool without waves. Ideal for small children.

Maragnani (La Ciaccia)
A quieter part of the coast with a unique character. Soft sand alternates with flat stones, giving the water beautiful clarity and a turquoise hue. The perfect refuge if you’re looking for fewer people and more nature just steps from home.
Family tip:
The rocks in the water create small, shallow, and sun-warmed 'pools' where children can safely splash around. It’s also the best spot in the area for your first snorkeling experience and fish watching—don’t forget your goggles!

⭐ 15 minutes by car
La Marinedda (Isola Rossa)
A gem of the northern coast, surrounded by majestic red cliffs. This bay offers a stunning contrast between red granite, white sand, and emerald sea. It’s one of the most photogenic beaches in the area, regularly awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness.
Family tip:
While the center of the beach has fine sand ideal for playing, shallow natural pools form along the edges near the rocks. It’s the perfect spot for little explorers to safely catch crabs or observe fish with diving goggles.

Spiaggia di Cala li Cossi (Costa Paradiso)
A true natural amphitheater hidden among massive red granite rocks. This bay is often considered one of the most beautiful in Sardinia thanks to the contrast between the red cliffs and emerald water. It’s a piece of wild nature you must experience.
Our tip:
The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk along a beautiful, safe path through the rocks. Don’t bring a stroller (there are stairs), but do bring a carrier. Kids handle this 'hike' easily, and the bay is perfectly sheltered from waves by the rocks.

⭐ 15 minutes by car
La Marina di Castelsardo
A secluded urban beach nestled right beneath medieval walls. It offers a unique setting—you can swim with a view of the historic Doria Castle. The water here is calm, shallow, and beautifully clear thanks to the breakwaters.
Family tip:
This beach is your refuge when the sea is rough elsewhere. The breakwaters create a calm ‘pool’ safe even for the youngest. The biggest advantage is the logistics—restaurants, restrooms, and ice cream are literally 10 meters from your blanket.

Marina di Sorso
An infinitely long and wide beach with golden sand stretching for kilometers along the bay. Thanks to its size, you’ll never feel "crowded," even in peak season. The sea entry is pleasant, and the water is crystal clear.
Our tip:
Right behind the beach stretches a dense pine forest (Pineta). It’s a lifesaver during the midday heat—you can retreat here with the kids for a picnic or an afternoon nap in the shade without having to pack up and leave the beach.

💡 50 minutes by car
La Pelosa (Stintino)
One of Europe’s most beautiful beaches. Turquoise waters like the Caribbean and fine white sand. It’s a visual experience you must see at least once, even if it requires a bit of planning.
Our tip:
The water is knee-deep dozens of meters from the shore—absolutely safe for non-swimmers and small children.
